I wouldn't be surprised if it were tariff related. I used to be a partner in a promotional products company and stuff we'd order from China was super duper inexpensive vs US products. Not sure where Homefield sources their shirts/hats etc, but that tracks.

I worked on the NASCAR circuit in 07-08. Those early spring races and late fall races were great temp wise. Anything south of the Mason Dixon line from late May to early September was awful

This is pretty much the state of the roads in Indianapolis. Or will be if it's ever warm enough for the iced over side streets to melt. The city didn't see a reason to plow neighborhoods.
