Charles Khristopher Gordon was experiencing a mental health crisis when officers Tased him, placed him in handcuffs, and tied his feet together, police records show. After being placed on a gurney, he began to have trouble breathing. He died despite medical care. openvallejo.org/2023/08/24/v...

Vallejo police handcuffed Michael Todd White, then bound his legs and tied them to his handcuffed hands. The practice, called “hogtying,” is prohibited by many police departments and disapproved of by the U.S. Department of Justice since 1995. He died soon after. openvallejo.org/2023/08/24/v...
