I live a rich and rewarding triple-life in two centuries and three different worlds. My thoughts wander deep, my hats are many, and my interests vary.
SCA/Warriors & Warlords related:
There are several opportunities for dance this year, including a Dance Ball on Saturday (7:30-onward) and classes! Dances for the ball will be taught during class, and called during the Ball. No experience or partner required.

The fiber petting zoo is ready for the library-supported Fiber Arts group next week! I have resisted the urge to make this a better A&S project in the meantime. (There are numerous variables that I'm not addressing for this group, and *that's okay*). It's exploration, not research...... right?

The red strap is just shy of 8ft, and uses the same pattern as the multi colored band.

The blue yarn is the blend I made a few weeks ago- alpaca, merino, Cotswold, bfl, and sari silk scraps.

The red single ply comes from an experiment in spinning "chunky yarn" into something a bit more usable.

Project Pile Update:
Fingerless mittens, Regency dress, and most of the warp for the upcoming experiments in double weaving. I also found a lovely purple "plaid" wool that I'd forgotten about that's itching to become a skirt. New turnshoes are higher on the priority list!

Small wins: the tea drawer is a little less chaotic now.

I promised myself to avoid last minute sewing projects before Nordskogen's 12th Night. It ended up happening a week later, just in time to requalify as last minute for the Terpsichore Troupe's utterly delightful Winter Ball.

Things I'm looking forward to: exploring double weaving

Things I'm realizing are going to be a challenge because it's the journey that matters, not the destination: exploring double weaving.

Double the fun! Looking forward to seeing folks at 12th Night tomorrow then hanging out with my family (and extended family) the rest of the weekend.
Two months is too long without SCA folks.
