This spooky season, bring your miniscopes back to life! 🧟‍♂️⚡

Grab a new PCB here bit.ly/MiniscopePCB and replace the electronics on an existing miniscope body by following this ritual bit.ly/assembly-guide 🔮

This Thursday, @chucklescience.bsky.social will teach multimodal data acquisition, RT processing and closed-loop setups at the @beyondlabneuro.bsky.social naturalistic neuroscience workshop 🌿🧠

Looking forward to discussing ONIX, Bonsai, Harp, and more with the students in Uruguay! 👩‍🏫👥

It was a pleasure to see everyone recently in the European Social Club and European Brain and Behavior Society Meetings. This one was particularly special for Ophelia 🐭

Thanks to the organizers and those who stopped by to discuss our tools 😃

Have a nice and well-deserved vacation! 😎

The low-profile SPI Headstage 64ch is ideal for promoting naturalistic behavior, as it significantly reduces torque on the animal's head in comparison with the SPI Headstage 32ch version 🌱🐁

Each headstage includes an embedded 9-axis IMU that senses absolute orientation, from which you can get pitch, yaw, and roll movements and drive our torque-free SPI commutator 🌀

We have three variants of our 3D capable SPI headstages: 32ch unipolar, 64ch unipolar low-profile and 16ch bipolar 📈

The Acquisition Board works seamlessly with three types of 𝟯𝗗 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 to follow your subjects’ every mooove 🕺💃

Headstage-mounted inertial measurement units (IMUs) can be used to acquire head orientation data based on an animal’s head movements 🐭🧭

Are you using Neuropixels probes with our ONIX headstages?

🛠️ We’ve just uploaded a tutorial that details how to stream Neuropixels data from Bonsai to Open Ephys GUI so you can use its high-density probe visualizers while retaining the flexibility of Bonsai.

Gearing up for the EURON PhD Days! The grid below shows components of a neuroethological experiment. What tools do you currently use and which do you wish you had?

@chucklescience.bsky.social will help you complete the picture and demo ephys, miniscope and behavioral tools on Friday. See you there!

Version 0.4.1 of the ONIX Bonsai package is now available in the Bonsai package manager. It includes a greatly improved GUI for designing stimuli with the 32-channel RHS2116 bidirectional headstage (coming to the store soon!).

3/3 And, yes, our swag came with a datasheet 🤓. Already looking forward to next year's art project...

2/3 It has an analog, 2 transistor, chaotic attractor that drives an LED.

1/3 In case you missed the Open Ephys SfN booth this year, here are the designs for our Blinkenbrain chaotic key chain swag: github.com/open-ephys/b...
It's a smooth-brained, analog, chaotic (in the formal sense) blinky!
