Too late for #screenshotsaturday, but here’s the current (very programmer art-y) state of my #WHEELJAM game! The idea is that each wedge is a different ability, and the size of the slice determines some aspect of it (damage for “shoot”, size of aoe for “bomb”, etc).

Another last minute #screenshotsaturday! I wanted to try modeling something less abstract in #picoCAD. I've been working on implementing note bottles in A Calm Game About Fishing but don't have anything visual to show for it yet, so I made a note in a bottle in picoCAD!

It looks pretty good! As I was writing this thread I noticed one of the comments mentioned using orthogonal view with the pixel art shader to give it the same vibe that pixel art tries to. I tried that out and it looks even better! (6/7)

In my defense it was late, I figured it out the next morning lol. The next issue is that godot doesn't pixelate it like picoCAD does, so it kinda looks like shit. (4/7)

🧵So I bought @johanpeitz.com's #PicoCAD the other day, here's how that went!

I've only made 2d games so far, so this was my foray into 3d! Modeling was super easy, the only hangup I had was having to shuffle points around to select verities from behind other geometry, but I got it to work! (1/7)

Here's the wave spawning feature of A Calm Game About Fishing! Usually the max fish that can spawn is 10, but my favorite part of adding new features is turning them up to 11 (in this case 75). Just barely didn't miss #ScreenshotSaturday!
