I understand it is simply the color of his uniform but you gotta think from the perspective of a Corporation

it's a game about legacy and remembrance, specifically for the Lamorn! Samus' role as the chosen one is literally to preserve the memory of the Lamorn! ugh

I had completely forgotten that it's a big reveal that the Grievers are mutated Lamorn and then the game just has you and your pals continue to slaughter Grievers without really any consideration

I've commissioned Mr. Ryan a few times and each time he has been both quick and very easy to communicate with!

like sorry but are we unable to think of a story that's about multiple things? is it not more interesting if it's also about the macro and micro systems that allow fascism to rise, in the Republic and in Anakin? The Jedi are part of that!
January 16, 2026 at 4:01 AM
if we can understand that the prequels are critiquing the Republic (and thus liberalism) we can surely acknowledge that the Jedi fit into that critique
January 16, 2026 at 3:56 AM
people see the idea that the Jedi were flawed and made mistakes and summarize it as "so you're saying they were responsible for their own genocide" and it's like. we remember that they are also high-ranking military officials, right. that's surely relevant

like you cannot tell me that they always intended for Garmadon to have only been banished for about a decade, or for him and Wu to look ~30 years old for millennia and then age into old men in a decade

technically Zane and Nya could also have best bases since they each individually have their own base (Samurai X Cave, Castle of the Forsaken Emperor). But oh well

and then I wanted to do a Base for the team as well. Most of their base sets have been nice, but it had to be the monastery. It's iconic, the build is very detailed, it blends with the play features well. Just top-notch stuff

I love the Hydro Bounty. I think it's one of the best-looking ships in any theme Lego has ever produced. It's sleek, the details are very cool, the colors work so well together. The little hidden mech is a very cool design, and the various cockpit and sail pieces look very nice

for flyers, it was always gonna be one of the Destiny's Bounties. I think most of them are great! Tough fight between the Legacy one and the movie one, but I like that this one feels a little more fantastical. Great dragon her, great architecture, sails look cool!

for Car, the Legacy Ultra Sonic Raider. I don't really have a strong attachment to this one but I think it works well for what it is. The flyer and central bike look good on their own; the tread vehicles look awkward. But it's cool! Maybe this also counts for bike?

for the Mech (only titan): the Ultra Combo Mech. It's Voltron! It looks rad, I like that you can see each Ninja's part of it. They all work individually and come together well. Bummer it's only the original four, but it makes sense and might be cluttered otherwise
January 10, 2026 at 9:23 AM
for the Dragon: the Ultra Dragon! Yes, it's actually Lloyd's. But it's made of all the other dragons and it felt right to include. I did the Legacy one; it's a little busy, but that's sort of unsurprising for what it is. It's definitely imposing, and the different heads look good
