yeah, that's one of the restrictions that I find reasonable. So many people I know just crate their dog all day every day, & their dogs never seem to be happy. :( There really needs to be at least someone home to interact with the dog, even if not the primary owner.

had the same experience. I really tried to adopt from a rescue, but nobody would consider us because we didn't have a house with a 6-ft fence (I was only looking at small lapdog breeds). luckily a friend had too many puppies, so i took one. he's a stage 5 clinger, so even our small flat is too big 😂
