Fun replay, but this is the end of my Pokébinge. Still likely my favorite version of Kanto. I really miss proper dungeons like Silph Co.

Stronger overall season with a good finale. Starting to stale from the constant status quo resets, though. Tucker fucking sucks.

Decided to replay this after the statement I made about it in the prior entry and...I think I stand by it. This is the only full classic style game on the Switch, but the DP base Gen 4 has a lot of cracks despite QoL, even once you get past the divisive aesthetic.

Had pretty good memories of Shield but upon replaying Gen 8, I think it's my least favorite of the Switch titles, even counting BDSP. The Wild Area feels hollow post Legends/SV and the routes and towns too simplified. Lots of fun new Pokémon, at least. Dynamax is cool, too.

In two games the Legends series has already eclipsed mainline for me with two very different takes. Not sure I enjoy this quite as much as exploring the various biomes of Arceus, but the new combat is a lot of fun. More than makes up for XY never getting a Z on 3DS.

It's solid. Carried heavily by the surprising chemistry between Keanu and Seth. Opens with a pretty realistic outlook on deadend nature of the gig economy but ultimately wraps up a little too cleanly.
