Certainly true about women doctors not understanding the pain. If you haven't had cramps that intense, it's harder to relate. (I still think they should do better!)

I was lucky not to have severe cramps, except on rare occasions, but I would believe that! My nephew had a heart attack a few years ago, and his wife was the one to call the ambulance. (He's ok now, thank goodness!) I do think women's pain is *often* dismissed, especially by male doctors.
