That's fair, but I'm decidedly not referring to LLMs here - I'm saying primarily for task automation to make life easier, turning tasks that would typically take hours into something that's a fraction of the time

Personal hot take is very heavily influenced by my work government wise moving tasks that used to take 2-3 full time jobs to less than an hour a day, and those people are able to work more on organization optimization/improvement tasks.

I can respect that. I feel that overarchingly deeming AI to be unethical is a bit of a black and white viewpoint to things though. Anything that's directly data scraping art/language is 100% unethical, but if we can automate tasks with minimal environmental impact it's definitely worthwhile.
