Also, since 2001 no U.S. city has built a higher proportion of new housing in walkable neighborhoods than Portland. Probably the best metric of increasing urbanism

One of the best pedestrian streets in the city but lacking in all the other ingredients -- if we added bike lanes, a north-south bus route, and a 28th ave Max stop, the corridor would be unstoppable

Portland was really showing off last weekend -- one of the best transit-supported urban hikes/walks in the country.
