Be sure to eat some Poutine, and maybe try Schwartz's Deli for some smoked meat sandwich.

There's also a nice cat cafe on Le Plateau, called The Happy Cat

In vieux Montréal, there's the
Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal. I thought it's architecture/style was interesting, especially compared to the various building styles of churches throughout the ages in Europe.

If you're looking to kill some time and enjoy some urban exploration with plenty of liminal space; iirc you can cover a lot of distance underground and make it to the old part of Montreal. Just try not to get lost in any backrooms on the way there.

In terms of sightseeing, the top of Mt. Royal gives a nice view over the city! Might be a bit tricky in winter but sometimes you get lucky with the weather.

The Biodôme de Montréal was also really fun to visit!

In terms of shops, I can recommend Le Valet d'Coeur if you're looking for boardgames or card games.

There's also a lot of malls that are connected via tunnels and metro stations, it's like an underground city. Nice and cool in summer and warm in winter!

If I remember correctly there's a boardgames bar nearby as well.

NW along St.Laurant is another bar called North Star, which is a pinball bar!

Further, there's Dieu Du Ciel, also has really amazing beers. Haven't been in years, though. You kind of have to show up early or it's full.

Craft Beer! There's a lot of breweries and brasseries with great beer. If you're staying downtown near sherbrooke-w/StLaurant, Benelux is nearby, great place for an arrival beer!

Further NE is Saint Denis, super long street, there's a bar there that's called MTL Arcade, it's an arcade bar!

And while I'm not 100% certain about this if it was the writer's intention, but I felt that viewers could either take the story at face value, or, interpret it differently from the perspective of an adult.
