February Book: Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter.

Unfortunately this is my first DNF of the year, I just could not get into the story and decided instead of forcing it, maybe it just wasn't for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Finished 'Seas of Monsters':

Overall story is interesting, well written & has a good ending. BUT this is a big step down from the 1st book. While the 1st is fast paced & keeps moving forward, for me this one is stalled out until about half way through.

This is the one miss in a series of hits. 💙📚

January Book: The Poet by Michael Connelly.

I'm about 9 chapters into the book and it's really pulled all my attention.

Great opener, very fast paced. Can't wait to read more!

For Christmas I was gifted with 12 books individually wrapped so that I get a surprise book every month!

It was a fantastic gift (Christmas lasts all year now 😄).

I just love the suspense and mystery.

A world where good triumphs

Just finished reading 'The Lightning Thief'. I've probably read this book 3 or 4 times but I still keep going back. It's a fast-paced adventure that wonderfully blends Ancient Greek Mythology with the modern world. It's a great intro into the world and as an opener for the series that follows. 💙📚
