pretty sure thats the deal with all cels back then back in school my teacher showed me this animation test of bugs bunny so i saw the actual cartoon it looked pretty rough finalized but gorgeous on pencil

another thing that attracted me to di gi charat's animation specifically in wonderful edition is that they barely used the usual standard gag expressions you see constantly in its precursors alot of the great facial expressions you remember usually happen in one single episode
