Stuck indoors quite a lot at the moment so watching a lot of TV. This is how I’m keeping track of everything I’ve seen. And hopefully having some nice chats along the way.

I’m sorry to say it but:

The emporer is actually naked.

Question. Why is orange juice so vile after toothpaste? I’m sure at Christmas I’ve eaten a piece of Terry’s chocolate orange after an After Eight with no ill effects

This is a public service announcement. Urban Legend doughnuts are really tasty. And most are under 200 calories, which is a win as far as I’m concerned. I think they are better than the toothachingly sweet Krispy Kremes. PSA over.

I have just learned that humans have (usually invisible) patterns on their skin. Called Blaschko’s lines. 🤯 www.sciencealert.com/humans-actua...
Humans Actually Have Secret Stripes And Other Strange Markings
Humans have invisible skin patterns, due to a quirk in how our enveloping layer forms.

I’ve been banned from mentioning the T word in this house. My cohabitant would rather pretend it’s not happening. Which I understand. But it is. 🙃

I just found my watch which has been missing for a week. I just went to put the bins out and there it was, next to the wheelie bin, screen still glowing, soaking wet. I’d searched the house and was convinced it had gone for good - but it seems fine after its ordeal. So happy! It’s the small things 🙂

It started with conspiracy and propaganda then evolved into dehumanisation - spreading distrust, fear and disgust about the target. The powerless were given a group to blame, the illusion of power. The techniques used now are the same. It’ll only happen again if people let it.

Sadly, they are…

I’m really struggling with the current state of the world. Trump and Musk, the creeping rise of AI, the impact of climate change, Ukraine, trans rights, women’s rights, the list goes on and on and I feel so utterly helpless

Anyone else watch Somebody Somewhere? It’s a TV gem, it should be better known

Because I don’t like to bury my head in the sand I thought I would check out what’s going on ‘over there’ today. I lasted about two minutes before scrabbling for that sand again

I had to top up my car coolant, and forgot to put the cap back on 🤦‍♀️ Drove 45 mins to work, and noticed what I thought was smoke coming out of the bonnet as I got to work. Local dealer managed to get a replacement cap ordered same day so I’ve driven home okay but was super stressed 🚙

Just caught up with Vengence Most Fowl, the latest Wallace and Grommit adventure that was shown over Christmas. Cracking stuff!

Despite my protestations I just watched the Bank of Dave 2 on Netflix. Rory Kinnear is always endearing, but man, I would have been okay never having watched this nonsense

Just finished the Lockerbie limited series. I was very young when the crash happened so I didn’t remember the details, although I do remember it being a huge deal. This drama helped me understand why. Episode 1 was a harrowing watch, Colin Firth was brilliant as always

CAT ADVISORY: Temperatures in the UK could drop to -10c tonight. All cats should IMMEDIATELY find the warmest spot in the house and stay there. Tell humans to bring you snacks and to keep the second warmest spot free in case you want a change of scenery.

I’ve never watch the Traitors. I can see that a lot of people are talking about it. Should I give it a go?

The fast turnaround of seasonal items in shops is so depressing. It feels like just yesterday when Easter items were on sale, but seems it was a year ago. Meanwhile piles of mince pies remain unsold. It just makes me think about how quickly time passes and the pointless consumerism we all fall for

Why do so many TV shows insist on a lengthy preview of what’s about to happen at the start of every episode? Channel 4’s Escape to the Country had a 5 minute preamble. Just let us see it unfold, we don’t need the spoilers

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?

Oh dear.

Just finished watching season 2 of Bad Sisters. Really enjoyed it. Sharon Horgan is a great writer. #NW
