Exactly right. No more so than the recent few months seeing your posts. From the material i know it's obvious you have very good taste. Highly frustrating not getting time to listen to it all.

Basically fair. But my experience is that I'd been listening to 10 years of punk and ska and formed my base taste on that before Grunge arrived. I'd even had long enough to expand out to reggae, Dylan, Lou Reed, Pink Floyd, etc by then. Depends on when in GenX you sit I guess.

As another GenX my take is that the core was punk and ska, with hair metal for the more mainstream.
Grunge was mid at best.
