I do not really care about building affordable housing as long as housing is built. Rich people move to new units, less rich move to the place the rich just left. You do not need to live in a new apartment. The studies are clear on this from my understanding

yeah of course. This often mean that people who move there from other places will bring their demands with them. Demand thus decrease from older housing units. Now Texas in general has a huge influx of people, so prices may not go down overall, but may not increase with 100% either like in LA

oh. When looking at prices I mainly care for the price trends for the whole region. Individual communities may have multiple reasons to be cheaper or more expensive than other.

But you have to agree the housing is cheaper. I'm not saying there should be no rules, and greenery is probably one, if not the most important rule to have. Just be aware that is very easy to find reasons to stop housing, many are bad some are good.

Most people I speak to on Sweden are for NIMBYism. "tall buildings disrupt the view", "we need the parking space", "traffic will get worse", "humans are not supposed to live in apartments"..
