It’s ok to not be ok, take small projects, slowly learn, step by step. Come a year, let’s look back and say we’ve improved. Let’s have drawn more and hold our head up high. Don’t worry about how long a project may take, no matter how simple it may be. Good luck and have fun.

This year, I’ve decided to get back into it, and instead of doing practice for practice’s sake, I’m going to just choose a project, work on it till I like it, and slowly learn that way. I want to end with a message to myself. Hopefully this helps me or someone else in the future.

Struggling with depression, self confidence and self doubt, while being a perfectionists, I’ve often found myself starting art, getting frustrated at how bad I am, and giving up. Whether it’s art studies, gesture drawing, or anatomy, It feels like I’m barely making progress.
