Agreed. I sincerely think the devs made the best decision with 7R. They found a way to both retrace the OG adventure step by step and turn it into a sequel that doesn't replace the existing entries. It'd be crazy to think that a 1:1 Remake would have been an affordable project.

Agreed. It felt odd and out of place, not only as regards Cloud's character arc but also because it contradicts the dynamic established in the new narrative
