Then some dude on the Internet tells you to calm down and "just be positive" when you tell him that the "awesome, inspiring guitar solo" he posted is actually not a guitar at all. Even worse if you know the original composer/musician of the song before an AI version was made.

The sad thing is, I see you are a musician, an artist, yourself. Imagine all your students only wanting lessons in generating electronic music.... Your income dries up, your years of study and practice get devalued to the point of irrelevancy.

I can almost guarantee they did not actually read those books, or any non-assigned-reading books, ever let alone as kids. They just like to pull random quotes they found by Google search in order to lend "legitimacy" to to them being in the industry at all.

The reason people take the use of fake AI images so seriously is because it is harmful to a lot of people. Maybe you were never passionate about something you spent hundreds of hours doing, that you rely on for income, etc.

A lot of children of the 80s/90s probably can recognize her by sound if not name. Her music was featured in some pretty big shows back in the day despite being so niche. I fell in love with her music, a blend of poetry, Celtic trad, and a wide array of world cultural references.
