I get the point, but the “significant concerns over interference and suspicious funding” should not be treated as “hey this is worrying but let’s let it slide” - if there’s no actual consequence to unchecked, unreported spending, there’s zero incentive to follow the law.

Even if there was no other offense committed by the Georgescu team other than failing to report campaign expenses (fat chance) - that alone should be enough to disqualify him.
Allowing someone to win the presidency through unchecked spending de facto removes the spending rules altogether.
