Yes! Though “proof” is possibly over-egging it.

I agree, this was entirely @karlonsea.bsky.social ‘s fault.

If it looks a good bet, I’ll patch it there and then. Plus it was mid-LEL, I wasn’t expecting to be comfortable for several days.

Interesting idea, as long as we can avoid *that* bridleway.

Yes! I didn’t bail on LEL, LEL bailed on me.

Interesting site, paints quite the dystopian picture of what might have been.

Yup, and on the theme of Tyne crossings, let’s be thankful the A1 viaduct, planned to connect the Gateshead Flyover and Central Motorway was never built.

A suspension bridge would be cool, but I think I prefer quays as they are now to the deck idea. Thanks for sharing the video, really interesting.

I seem to get them in waves, this bike had only one in 5,000km prior to yesterday, I was obviously due some.

One on each, unknown culprits, the rear has a chunk of rubber missing, I couldn’t even find the hole on the front. To be fair the surfaces aren’t the best, and the touring bike’s not my weapon of choice for the route.

Can’t complain, first one in 6000km!
November 28, 2025 at 10:08 PM
You tell me that now? 🙄

The usual commuting bike has, but fixing a rear wheel puncture on the Brompton (tried to patch, failed) is definitely a weekend job.

No excuse for a close pass but the road’s clear so utterly pointless.
November 28, 2025 at 9:53 PM
Two more, future-proof it.

One of the most depressing things I’ve learned as an adult is how many other adults are completely ignorant of how *anything* like this works.
