Understandable, that’d be pretty difficult to figure out but I figured I’d ask just in case 😂

I wonder if the wishlist conversion rate is something Steam uses when deciding to increase visibility for your game or not. I’d hope not otherwise it seems like you might hurt yourself by participating

Interesting! Makes some sense, higher visibility but not necessarily as committed of users as opposed to users who specifically went out and found your game. Saw a similar outcome during my time in AdTech with some of our metrics.

Did your Next Fest games net more revenue despite this or no?

Brutal, I know I would be seeing “Mass: 1583.548” in my sleep 😂

Did you figure it out in the end or is in progress still?

Always interested to learn more about roles that exist and how they contribute to making a quality game!

Any specifics you two can go in to on how you’re able to help indie devs? I have a general idea with relation to books, is it the same type of thing?

Looks good, digging the style!

You both look very happy, congratulations!

Really appreciate the insight and happy to hear it’s going well. Hopefully the 1.0 release is even better for you!

Black seems fitting for a space themed game! I do like a good blue though, tough choice.

Crimson Skies… now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. Good memories there for sure

This looks awesome, great work!

That sounds exciting, congratulations!

Excellent improvements!

Makes a lot of sense when you lay out it like that haha 😂 I think the point about minimal system variation being shallow/non content is a great takeaway. Do you feel like mgmt would have been receptive to adjustment of scope? It feels so difficult to redirect once the path is set from above

Congratulations!

Can’t say I’ve played this one. What made it the worst? What would you consider the most important advice you learned having gone through working on it as a Lead Designer?
October 15, 2025 at 7:20 AM
This sounds really cool, definitely interested in reading more! Pretty great you’ve already got something working

Looking forward to it!

I had been wondering what Netflix was getting up to after seeing some of their games related jobs!

Look forward to checking this out, Lego Party is calling my name

As for time, I would match any updates you put out elsewhere like your Steam page, socials, etc, biweekly or even monthly is fine. Then if you pop in to chat with players a few times a month or more I think that’s a great start. Approach varies between live and in development a bit but that’s gist

Makes sense! Depends on the structure of your studio, I’ve seen studio level discords for smaller creators vs game specific ones too. Moderation is usually fairly manageable with bots/tools and if you get to a point promoting some trusted community members to help out works great.

Always happy to talk more on this, I think it’s a powerful way to set your game apart.

Community and subsequent interaction is a big (unofficial) part of what I do currently. It’s given us new perspectives and ideas for design improvements/direction, find and solve nasty bugs, and help weather unfortunate mistakes.
