dwarves in my setting breed giant isopods as pets/wardogs and use dire centipedes as mounts. this fits in perfectly! i'll absolutely be using this!!!

that being said I like the idea of a more structured Character Creation with limited Hero Archetypes like Speedster, Esper, Brute, etc. as long as they allowed for significant character expression. I haven’t explored the genre so much, I’m sure theres a lot of cool options that fit these examples.

I think a large part of the issues in creating a Superhero TTRPG is character creation. Players want to play characters with unique powers, sometimes even powers that the Players come up with, but the nature of character creation and game-balance naturally limit these possibilities.
