With this novel, I’ve now read every book Michael Connelly has written—36 novels and one nonfiction. No longer can I simply grab a Connelly title I’d overlooked or to break from a book that isn’t holding my interest. Now, like with my other favorite authors, I’m officially in the waiting line.

RIP Brian Wilson. His genius, his sad, tragic upbringing, descent into mental illness and then his recovery and the triumph of his later years makes him and his life story one of the most compelling, interesting and triumphant of any American artist.
