They were essentially able to cut out an hour or more of sitting at the airfield in line for a standard departure by flying this route. It is not any more or less dangerous than the standard departure. Can we please do some research into this shit before we make posts like this with no context?

Being an aircraft mechanic/avgeek on bsky is infuriating. Flying at 8000 ft JFK to DCA isn't uncommon. It is an approved route referred to as the "New York Escape". It's a way to get through the congested airspace without long delays due to ATC. Which are obviously exemplified by the shutdown.

Trump had nothing to do with this crash. The aircraft suffered an engine failure and was going too fast to abort. Unfortunately, a fully loaded MD-11 with an engine out wasn't gonna make it far.

I'm all for bashing the regime, but this shit had nothing to do with them. Engine fire occurred after V1. That aircraft was going over 150 MPH and had to take off. The thing was fully loaded and losing an engine sealed its fate.

Try red dye visible penetrant. Doesn't come out of clothes or skin. Barely comes off the metal part you are trying to inspect.

I've had a CT owner want to fight me. I've had another try and run me off the road. I say try, because I drive a tiny car and while CTs go quick, they have shit handling. The same CT ran a red light because he didn't want to deal with the consequences of his own actions when I pulled up next to him
