we're not moots and i just found this post on my for you feed, but my clients come from the same niche fandom as i am on tumblr and from advertising my comms on toyhouse. i know they come from there bc ive likely interacted w them on tumblr before & toyhouse ppl usually DM me before ordering +
i think ive only gotten like, two comms from the vgen algo alone, but that was before i got verified so idk how much it'll improve. for bsky i just started posting here again so idk how good it'll be for advertising as for not knowing where clients come from, maybe it could help to ask directly in vgen DMs or add a lil question in your request form asking which platform they found u? then just elaborate that it's for research purposes n that they can refuse to answer. ive seen video game/app devs do that though i dont think it's common practice in art spaces, but im sure most ppl wont have a problem with asking esp. if it will help you as an artist i hope u dont mind that i rambled on your post AJDJSHD
