Every time the republicans complain about federal workers, they should be reminded that they are federal workers and bureaucrats themselves.

I was in that situation, but I went ahead and asked my HR to update my paperwork and they ended up counting the time that I was in forbearance towards my loan. If you can, I’d recommend sending in the latest paperwork from your HR just in case things you think are not going to be counted might be
