The Pacific Highway between Loganholme and Nerang would have been hell in the early 2000's if it hadn't been upgraded like it was post-Mundingburra.

But in the washup of the 1995 state election: the northern section was axed, the section south of the Logan River became preserved corridor, and a Pacific Hwy upgrade plan was played out... that didn't survive Mundingburra '96.
