#2 Neither of these species belongs in this ecosystem, and their demise creates space and light for natives and the understory to develop after 60 years in the dark...

Looking at indigenous people who generally achieve ripe old ages with far lower incidence of the degenerative diseases seen in western cultures, they still take around 17k steps per day into their very ripe old age. I understand the difficulty of doing this due to financial demands on most of us.
