Generally set apart from a sentence by an explanation point (or by a comma when the feeling's not as strong).
He said it in July, not today. Still very bad, but not as atrocious as it's being made out to be.

Did the two men by chance happen to be, in some order, Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl?

Curious whether that prompts any questions from the committee about (changes in) reimbursement rates to subsidiary providers. They can dial back ACA profits by paying themselves more for care services.

Also insofar as Americans of all stripes embrace the lore of Philly, home to Independence Hall and city of brotherly love, seems like a bad target.

But Bondi wants state and local officials to prosecute, and Miller wants a show. And if he gets a martyr, well, he can work with that.

It's as if the purported "ferocious cultural revolution" he refers to isn't the social movement but the trend toward creating corporate DEI offices, which mostly coincided with post-2020 return to work.

The mean HR reps made them act courteously toward their coworkers! An affront to human thriving!

The same Monty Bennett who astroturfed Dallas HERO to pass local ballot initiatives that could strangle the city's finances?

The same Monty Bennett who dipped into his billionaire pockets to zombify the historic Dallas Express as a Trojan horse for right-wing slime?

That Monty Bennett?

Trump says everyone in NATO is "paying 5%" now.

That doesn't represent cash paid to NATO, obviously, but defense spending as a percentage of GDP.

Won't stop some dingdongs from suggesting we're paying NATO 5% of our $1T defense budget though, I guess.

Like a tech company focused on growing revenue before achieving profitability, he's focused on growing name recognition before achieving favorability.

May not be the optimal strategy, but it's certainly a strategy. And good luck convincing Newsom not to bet on his own perceived charm and charisma.

Couple minutes later and you could've gotten 1948 DiMaggio, but with OPS instead of batting average

Much simpler than this: it's a culturally opportunistic marketing slogan from the beef lobby. They've spent decades fighting off rising negative sentiment owing to their product's dual contributions to heart disease and climate change.
