I’m searching for my anchor. Once again, I read too much news & lost my way. The layers of stories are broke trap doors. In nanoseconds I go from thinking I understand our world to not knowing a single thing.
This new way is void of 1 way but a cloverleaf hwy w/heavy overpasses.
Oh yeah- #caturday

They are! I think they are button Dahlias! We grow them from bulbs every summer. Pink purple yellow and white. At first I thought they were too small and now they are my favorite.

MECHANISM 70x70 oil on canvas. 90s
My 1st real painting after 6 years of art school.
The ladder is a powerful symbol; a longing to advance. As a young dreamer I strived to override old beliefs. This art reflects on a postmodern world colliding w/a technology age, questioning desire & promise of ease

OMG!!! I just found my purpose in life! I kid not. My hub agreed. I can barely type!
I must work out a pin-post & get on my way to being useful.
I’ve been grappling as to why I’m even on Bluesky.
Now I SEE why I am here.
Hint: the most fun & poetic alt. Finally, I turned a corner. Light does bend!

“I Toasted The Angels Who Were Too Busy To Stop.”
54" x 48" oil on canvas. I painted it and kept it.
(PS I can’t believe how much fun using the ALT button is!)

I am blowing in the wind trying to stop the idiot wind. Let’s be the wind of change so we aren’t dust in the wind.

Well. 6 weeks in & I must say the news cycle is stealing our collective zeal by keeping us stuck in a spinning bingo cage bouncing about tooting horns - whether relieving our shock or trying to predict the future- it’s starting to work against us.
I want to see us drop the bait & make a real plan.
March 1, 2025 at 7:34 PM
I like:

THE SAGE REVOLUTION
-The color green is nature & life.
-Sage is a veteran’s green, honor & our hope.
-Sage is seasoned wisdom.
-Sage is rooted in American ritual (purification smudging.)
-Sage is spice, representing our tradition of giving thanks.

I’m a sound sleeper & now remembering my dream from last night. As I walked down a busy street everyone had knees w/incisions & sutures - like knee capping. My subconscious gives me a realistic sign: life will be hard, but we must adapt to survive, & as violent wounds heal they can motivate
March 1, 2025 at 4:47 AM
I’ve been brainstorming about this. The color used is conceptual layered. So far I’ve come up with SAGE. Yes —wisdom, seasoned & spicy, traditional purifying smug, but mainly the color of veterans.
The idea is keeping me busy.

This too. I’m making sure you don’t miss it.
February 28, 2025 at 10:57 PM
I brainstormed a bit. It’s so intense due the color’s layered concepts.
An A-B peek:
Early America, linen, off-white, colorless
Dawn, civil dawn
Dawn’s early light, Sunrise
salmon/coral (choral)
Yellow - gold/golden rod, marigold

Back to green. SAGE
Wisdom, purifying smug, veterans, grounded.

How I feel.
February 26, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Huh! My hub thinks I cheated because Mia provided a hint. Lol
February 26, 2025 at 5:54 PM
My hope keeps shifting. It drains from me & I’m left projecting it.
This morning I awoke leaning into our veterans & the truth of mission that they each know in their hearts. I sit longing to witness the force of our veteran’s oath.
Could the answer to
‘What color is our revolution?’ be OLIVE?

A video. A distress signal. A call. RESIST.

I am happy you are Bluesky because I nixed all the other platforms. Many many hearts for you. Also we miss our Bonnie Parker Posey.

I’m going through my grandmothers travel journals circa 1930. Sharing pics of the Mer De Glace, Mont Blanc in the French Alps. Today there the glacier barely exists.

Here are 4 more. I have a total of 6. I can send these to you if you find they’d be useful. I’d prefer that to just sitting in a dark box. (You can scan and get better pics - I’m using iPhone 7.)
