Right now many of us in recovery feel like we’ve been plopped back in the dysfunctional family we grew up in and our raging parent is in charge again. Just because that feeling is familiar, doesn’t make it true. We have agency now and can trust ourselves and practice loving self care. #trauma

This is what we all should remember.
Right now many of us in recovery feel like we’ve been plopped back in the dysfunctional family we grew up in and our raging parent is in charge again. Just because that feeling is familiar, doesn’t make it true. We have agency now and can trust ourselves and practice loving self care. #trauma
