I am soooo late to reading Arendt. This is MAGA in a nutshell - “[discrimination] can become a crystallization point for a political movement that wants to solve all the natural difficulties … of a multinational country by violence, mob rule and the sheer vulgarity of race concepts.”

Finally got a copy of “When The Moon Hits Your Eye” from my local library. Gotta ask @scalzi.com if this is officially part of the book, or just a helpful library patron:

I understand they don't have a leg to stand on, but this is just pathetic. Inserting lawful as though we're supposed to forget that the Wong Kim Ark quote doesn't include it (or we should assume it was implicit without arguing it).

Only response it deserves is the goose meme. Whose laws indeed.
