Ya, I have seen that as well at times. It doesn't make any sense to me. No one knows your game better than the players. Most of the best ideas in my games have come from player ideas and suggestions. I am a solo dev, but I don't work a lone. My players / community is my QA team and creatives.

Honestly, discord is my number 1. But I drop tweets on X, but it sucks these days. So, I been mixing in Bluesky posts as well. I also post on reddits for each of my games, but discord is the best interactions I get. Reaching new players is always very hard for small self-published indie.
