Ignoring reality is also a problem. This was the Fox News home page this morning. All the usual greatest hits “illegals criming, Biden sucks, trans athletes” but nothing about illegal East Wing demolition, boat strike kills or demands for looting of the Treasury.

Hey at least they covered - more than can be said for Fox News which is currently ignoring it in favor of MAGA’s greatest hits such as “Illegals Criming”, “Trans Athletes” and “Biden Sucks”.

Gone. One false narrative they've gotten to take hold is this idea that it's the left who became extremists. Compare Obama '08 vs Harris '24 with McCain '08 vs Trump '24, gap in the latter is infintely larger. Yet a chunk of the electorate sees Trump as basically Romney who uses coarse language.

DeSantis said it last year. Trump voters are oblivious to the worst of what he’s done because Fox et al don’t report it. Tracks with my personal experience. I can’t engage with Trump voters because they dismiss bad stuff he does as the product of liberal media bias.
