Egyptian international striker Gedo joined City on loan in January 2013 and scored a handful of goals to assist the Tigers in their quest for Championship promotion - he returned in September 2013 for a less impactful spell.

5️⃣9️⃣1️⃣ BILLY WHITEHURST (1980-85, 1988-90)
Powerful striker Whitehurst, whose skills were honed by City legend Chris Chilton, became a potent goalscorer for the Tigers and earned a move to top flight Newcastle before returning in the late 1980s.

2️⃣6️⃣5️⃣ JAMES McAINSH (1933-34)
Young Scottish winger McAinsh joined Hull City in December 1933 after a short trial and was thrust straight into the first team. After seven appearances he moved on to Gateshead then returned to Scottish junior football.

7️⃣9️⃣3️⃣ GARY TAYLOR-FLETCHER (2001)
Striker Taylor-Fletcher joined City on loan in March 2001 but failed to impress and returned to Northwich Victoria. He went on to have a long career, reaching the Premier League with Blackpool and Leicester.

6️⃣6️⃣1️⃣ PAUL WAITES (1987-92)
Versatile defender Waites came through the ranks at City after playing for the Hull Schoolboys side that were joint winners of the 1986 English Under-15 Cup. He drifted into the non-leagues after leaving the Tigers in 1992.

4️⃣4️⃣2️⃣ RAY SMITH (1951-56)
Hull-born forward Smith came through the ranks at Hull City in the mid-1950s before joining Peterborough United in 1956, scoring goals that helped lift Posh to Division Three by 1961. He died in Peterborough on 21 November 2024.
