What would be the point of her remaining? If every defendant could just get their case dismissed?

Even the Repubs want Mace gone, she is off the ranch
December 4, 2025 at 12:27 AM
The campaign against him does seem to be building steam
December 4, 2025 at 12:23 AM
I’d argue it’s justified based on the quality of most of the homes these national new home builders put out 🤣

I simply wouldn’t go to Texas

Would be interested in how THC consumption overlays with this. There is a reason the alcohol industry spent truckloads of money fighting legalization

The risk doesn’t magically go away just because they didn’t have any this year…

Heard Eric on Bloomberg radio just before the close yesterday, he was a raging asshole
November 14, 2025 at 1:19 PM
lol. Although one of the guys at the McLaren dealership did tell me there were some credit unions that would offer 144 month loans a couple of years ago (I was there looking at a normal ass car someone traded in, not a super car unfortunately)

The funniest part is giving your ex-wife all of your pre-tax accounts and keeping the taxable/cap gain assets in a divorce is such a win

They being said there are moral gray-ish ways to deflect it - liberal disclaimers, liability shifting via cursory attorney reviews (which legal zoom already does) etc
November 8, 2025 at 4:45 AM
Yeah, you are right. You are articulating the way I feel about autonomous driving, the inflection point is not whether the software is better than humans, it is where it is nearly flawless because the liability should trace back to the manufacturer.

On one hand, I’d like to think what I do
Is irreplaceable, on the other I review absolutely malpractice-worthy documents from licensed attorneys on a regular basis. I’m getting closer to the Musk-esk argument “yeah, but human drivers make more mistakes” every day and it makes me sad, but it is true
November 8, 2025 at 4:22 AM
Only if you are limiting your thinking to the existing paradigm (which, as a former practicing attorney, I am partial to). If AI gets good enough that is not necessarily true.
November 8, 2025 at 4:17 AM
Since I sit on the finance side now, not sure what type of tools are being offered to attorneys on this front already. Risk on the client-facing side is regulatory overhang from all the bar associations, but the form based companies have found a way through
