A couple of years ago was the first time I let anyone try local anesthesia since then. It worked fine, didn't feel a thing, because it WASN'T FUCKING EXPIRED.
So anyway, doctors should listen to their patients more.

3/Nobody believed me that I overheard this conversation between screams as this "visiting" former army surgeon was digging into me with expired anesthetic.
For years I thought it just didn't work on me because nobody believed that the literal child being essentially tortured was telling the truth-

2/I overheard the PAs talking about the expiration date. The date was that day. One asked if that was why it didn't seem to be working. The other told her to keep quiet, because they could get sued.

Thank you; absolutely agree. I also use a cane occasionally, when only one leg/ankle is acting up, but when both are, I just... don't get to walk around my house, since the hallways are too narrow for a chair. 🥴

—I can't always get in and out of the car and wheelchair as I need... and since I'm only borrowing it, I don't have the security of always being able to use it when I need to.
The list just... goes on and on. I'm so exhausted, all the time, and it's hard to muster the energy to fight for any of it.

Like, I have a shower chair to not have to stand in the shower, except the shower/tub combo is too small to accommodate it so I can't actually use it.
I can borrow my grandmother's wheelchair sometimes, but I can't get any of my doctors to sign off on the paperwork to get me a parking placard, so—
