Fresh out of the oven! Mare OQ650bM (Saroja) is a first-time mom. It’s the foal’s job to stay close during those crucial first few weeks, both to bond properly and to avoid getting caught in conflicts like the one in the video. Keep 300 feet away from new foals to ensure their safety and survival.

In mixed gender bands, males and females travel together. Males display through fights, play with foals, and court the mare. In this case, a white mare and her pinto foal are being trailed by 6 bachelors. Who do you think she’ll choose?
