When I look at Ayo Edebiri's 2025 Met Gala look, all I can see is a reinterpretation of Victor Ehikhamenor's work.

Just got my hand’s on a copy of Philip Mansel’s elegy for Aleppo, but perhaps this dirge of a book might be too soon because she might yet rise back to her old grandeur and once again take her place as one of cultural cosmopolitan cities of the world.

(1) This is amongst the things I have been most proud of this year; a dedication and focus on health and exercise.

How did I do it?

- I do yoga at home almost everyday. Bought a mat, and that was the only real expense.

One of my painful losses coming out of the pandemic in addition to the people that we have lost are the businesses that didn’t make it.

Berkeley’s Tail of the Yak was this whimsical store of curios, soaps, ribbons and all sorts. It is now gone.

These places were special.

Ìgbá aiyé

I grew up with this painting in our family home in Lagos. Grateful that I am now its custodian. And hopefully after me, the next generation will take stewardship of it and keep it in the family for the future.

It shows one of the creation myths from Yoruba cosmology.
