Having the grunts to keep an extract safe was the first thought but then they interact really well with celestial technology because Apoc can summon both nick and the grunts for big first activation swings.

I totally get it. I am also trying to Splash Miles more often because I think he is underrated as flex in non webs lists.

He is but he is 5 threat. I have considered including him because his leadership is so good but i am not sure i would use it enough to justify the slot.
