Far be it from me to offer sympathy to a millionaire, but what could he have realistically done? Musk was the one that tanked the market.

If you're going after paypal, you're going after the "Paypal Mafia" whose members include Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, Sean Parker, ect...unless they're all divested from the company that made them.

I will never understand why he flipped. Dude was a Dem star, and he's thrown it all away.

Is there any way to redirect that energy into something helpful? Like maybe get them hating hoity-toity CEOs and their commoditization of a religious holiday? Maybe start a conspiracy theory about CEOs starting Happy Holidays so they could save money on the whole season?

Oh my God, please shut your mouth and don't tell them! I can practically see the bad facebook memes now getting re-Xd on Xitter.

It's an edgy take, but accurate

I suspect a lot of people don't realize that insurance companies have screwed over the wealthy and powerful as well. This might have just been a first shot in a corporate gang war that's about to break out.

Isn't the nosebleed thing a standard trope in, specifically Japanese, animated media as a stand in for a boner? Does she have a boner @mavibluecatte.bsky.social ? If so, why?

It's hilarious to me that anyone but the most influential spreadsheet nerds would have actual power as POTUS. There's thousands of layers of bureaucracy between him and any kind of decision like that, not to mention the repubs would probably eat each other in trying to pass a bill allowing this.

The white house press briefing was a laugh riot. Just some poor general they tricked into telling everyone they have no clue what's going on, and will continue to not care unless the appropriate budget is allocated towards it. Guess we'll either get surprised like hell, or it'll just go away?

Yes, but if we were to say flood the algorithm they use with truly random training data, they can't automatically create thresholds in terms of use, consistency, or timing that would trigger a notice to the authorities, rendering the app as a useless tool for tracking.

We knew what was coming, but we're still surprised? Anyone without a paycheck in the coming year gets no pity from me if they voted for this. We were warned.
December 19, 2024 at 12:51 AM
I hope the distinction your critique hinges on will even be relevant in the coming years, or if we'll just be dealing with the accelerated crumbling of our government and its norms, rights, and our ability to petition discontent with those encroachments.
