I found a large hole - 1’ deep, 16” wide - along the foundation, completely full of water. I couldn’t dig down to channel much away.

The loan of a wet vac made water removal from the basement reasonable. I’m in a lot of pain from carving channels with an axe, under a porch.

Spent the day dealing with water intrusion in the basement. Paid a person to rip up the carpet. That’s the smartest thing I have done in a long time. The upside is my timetable on installing flooring has been moved up.

I’m back! Was locked out of my bsky account. Support took ~6 weeks to email back but they finally came through. I’ve not been on Facebook either. The detox was real. I’m back on this addictive behavior again. +/-

Today at home, outdoor progress. My yard guy came with his brother and they chainsawed the big log that is wedged in the brook, reducing the width 50%. Hopefully with that gone, the flow will move ricks, dirt, and limbs along. And I can relax about ice dams.
