My mom worked at a big uni for a time in the math dept and apparently was behind getting all the walls painted in blackboard because the mathematicians would wander around writing on the walls whenever ideas hit them.

Real estate gymnastics !! We call that a 2 bedroom flex in NY. The living room became the second bedroom (usually means there isn’t a closet in that room but maybe LA actually renovated it so it wa two bedrooms and no common space).
