My view for most of today

New (old) supplies to add to my mini collage kits. I’m constantly searching for things to include and it feels like a win every time I find something. Haven’t figured out if links are allowed on here but collage kits are available in my Etsy shop.

Stitched so many of these teeny tiny dots that my ‘needle pushing’ finger is wrecked. Thimbles are too bulky, even the rubber ones, so plasters it is. I mean some people put their lives on the line for work, but we embroidery artists have our own struggles yeah?

I currently have a half price sale on many hoops in my shop. It’s on until the end of the month. And I only just found out that it’s National Embroidery Month! So what better time than now to buy some embroidery art?

Had a dream last night that I got a £200 Etsy order and woke up this morning excited to sort it out before I realised it wasn’t real. My dreams are taunting me.

It takes me so long to put together these little collage kits. I use tweezers to get the small items neatly in the bag. But it’s so satisfying to do. I just wish I was a bit quicker!

Had the worst cold right before Christmas and now I have a terrible cold before January is even done. All my good intentions to get shit done in the new year completely out the window. BUT I did manage to set up a half price sale in my Etsy shop on many hoops. Runs for a month. Now I’ll nap.

Haven’t stitched a stitch since loooong before Christmas and itching to get back to it. But business admin and life admin have been getting in the way. Longing to stitch along to an audiobook but who has the time?!

Celebrating the fact that I finished my tax return already and didn’t leave it until the day before it was due, like most previous years. Gonna ‘slow down’ this weekend, maybe watch a movie, maybe take a nap or two. There are perks to being organised. Who knew?!

Must make an effort to post here more now the meta ship is sinking because zuck is an iceberg or some other analogy that makes sense. Here’s an embroidery. I have more. I’ll post more if I remember.

Someone with over 300k followers shared my collage kits on a Christmas gift guide yesterday but didn’t tag/link me which in previous years would have bothered me immensely but now I’m in the ‘who cares’ era of small business. I still got a few extra sales out of it so I’m calling it a small win.

I’ve considered giving up embroidery (as a money earner) an uncountable amount of times this year due to business being terrible, personal life things being intense and motivation being so low. And yet I persevere and I’m wondering if it’s hope or stupidity that’s keeping me going.

In an effort not to do my usual ‘post once then never again’ that happens with every other new social media platform I join, here I am posting for the second time. And here is another embroidery of mine.

I guess I should post something here to introduce myself. I’m an embroidery artist in the UK selling hoops like this and some other bits and bobs in my etsy shop. Is it nice here?
