I think Starmer is making the classic correlation Vs causation mistakes. The Tories helped him with the landslide. McSweeney helped him try to copy the Tories mistakes.
Hence they're falling into the same trap, chasing Farage policies.

It always seems Democrat centrist are people that promote the status quo, but for people already hurting, that's not enough. It even allowed Maga to come in and make promises they would never keep.
