The problem with posting video game playthroughs is people generally watch 2 types of players:
1.) Someone who’s never touched the game before
2.) Someone who’s exceptionally good at the game
For the game I have in mind, I’m neither of thode things.

Here’s an idea. What if I do a pseudo-Kickstarter? A couple friends and I were considering making a visual novel about this premise:
MC believes she and LI are fated to be together. To "prove" soulmates exist, she engineers a bunch of realities and gets with the LI in each one.

“Characters are tools to tell a story” has helped me a lot to understand fandom things. Like AUs. An AU that changes the setting of the story while keeping the genre intact is a lot easier to put together than an AU that changes the type of story it is!

The bigger the fandom, the more weird and niche your work within it can get. It’s hard to justify an entire AU based off a 3 word sentence a background character said in which everyone is space cats when there are only 3 fics for the ship between the 2 main characters.

Instead of Omegaverse, which is based on a flawed understanding of wolf reproduction, I’m going to make Spawnverse, based on some species of fish. One person lays eggs. The other fertilizes them. Riveting stuff.

I don’t like the term “selfcest”. I don’t think dating your clone is comparable to incest at all. But ”self shipping” is taken by the practice of shipping yourself with a fictional character. So what are we supposed to call it?

“What makes a fun character” and “what makes a good person“ are two completely different categories for me. More than once, I’ve realized I’ve accidentally given a character zero redeeming qualities.
