Bonus fun fact: This is the 1st shoot I ever shot with a gel. There is a blue gel on the light where the TV would be.

Storytime: When I started photography I wanted to be edgy (dumb) so I decided since Ltd is like Co in the US I would name my 'business' Lies, Ltd. That was dumb. But, over the years I have kept the name & use it to encompass a concept: Media lies. I don't mean mass media, I mean photos, art, music, news, social... You name it. We always present something sensationalized when we present something, so, Lies, limited came to represent what I try to do, and that is be as honest as I can be when showing my work. Additionally: shooting monochrome takes one more aspect out of your equation: Color Correction. I always use a gray card for white balance, but in a pinch shooting for monochrome is a good deal.

I shot this set with a ring light on a tripod, it was easy to frame once it was “dialed in”.
