The Polymorphous Oculeptic Disease is a lesser skin infection easily caught when diving in dark waters. Any patient infected with POD will experience an itchiness followed by a gradual growth of eyes on their skin and through their fur, until the infection progresses inside, choking them with eyes.

"Malignant Derma-Thawing is an extremely aggressive infection usually plaguing miners. Underground fungi will cause a rapid fur/scale loss, quickly followed by what could be described as a liquefying of the skin and muscles. Miners are usually buried alive in droves to prevent surface infection.”

Unrefined blocks of sugar are gathered from monoliths (called kilns), boiling hot and covered in smoke. The (Huthal) workers are barely protected and inhaling the thin yellow smoke attacks the lungs and the fur, and leads to lasting health effects.
But at least Albe gets her sugar.

When near big water spots, be it in the reflection in rivers or lakes, you can see the Mujits floating above. Classified them as diurnal predators since they sometimes snatch someone (and the moment they do, the prey becomes just as invisible) and exist only during the day.

Desert Polyps are sentient plants. Those tranquil giants (very slowly) roam the edges between desert and more fertile lands, and help with holding the sands back by naturally seeding them with spores. Exceedingly useful.

A chaetognath (or paleworm) is an amalgam of an ysleria and the shatal that just infected them, but instead of turning them into a lumbering hive, this happened. Absurdly fast and silent, they slide slightly under the dunes with immense ease, and are always hunting in packs of five or six.

Kharijitbilis are our war mounts. While tufilis are made for slow but steady exploration, Kharijitbilis are brutish creatures bred for skirmishes and Jihāds, protected at worst by their own bark, and at best by bone-weave armor. Extremely resilient, dangerous, and unyielding.
